Marriage counseling is the last resort for a couple whose marriage is falling apart. It is therefore not easy to decide what should be done if a couple wants advice on how to salvage their relationship or if they are undergoing problems and your partner thinks that marriage counseling is a bad idea. What a lot of people do not know is that couples therapy is aimed at only saving a relationship that is falling apart rather they can help in times of more trouble or in cases where you spouse does not want to be own up.
Marriage counseling may not be embraced by a couple or at least one of them. Couples may think this way because they may think marriage counseling is for couples who have tried all else and failed, or its too expensive and inconvenient.

An outsider who prefers approaches that are evidence-based to change the situations rather than a person who looks back in the past.
